Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. Stashify is built to protect your data by design. This policy explains what information may be processed, how it is stored, and the choices available to you when you use the Stashify mobile app and web app.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to visitors of stashify.co and users of the Stashify applications, including the Progressive Web App at app.stashify.co.
2. Local-first storage
Financial information you enter in Stashify — including wallets, transactions, debts, bills, budgets, and preferences — is stored on your device using local storage mechanisms (for example, IndexedDB in supported browsers). This means Stashify can work offline and your data remains under your control on that device.
3. Optional cloud sync
Cloud sync is available only when you choose to sign in for backup or synchronization. If you enable sign-in, account authentication and sync may be processed using services such as Firebase and Google authentication, as implemented in the app. In that case, data needed to operate sync (for example, account identifiers and encrypted or application data required for the feature) may be transmitted according to the provider’s security practices.
If you do not use cloud sync, your financial data is not uploaded to Stashify servers for routine app operation.
4. Data we do not sell
Stashify does not sell your personal financial information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising as a business model.
5. Analytics and the marketing site
The public marketing site may use hosting or analytics tools (for example, Vercel Web Analytics / Speed Insights) that collect limited technical information such as page views and performance metrics. That data is separate from your financial records stored inside the app.
We may use Google Analytics (Google LLC) on stashify.co to understand aggregate traffic and how visitors use the site (for example, page views and button clicks such as “Download APK”). Google may process technical data like device and general location. See Google’s Privacy Policy. You can use browser controls, ad-blockers, or Google’s opt-out browser add-on where available.
6. Deleting your data
You can remove data from your device using the app’s data management features. If you delete the app or reset data, locally stored information may be permanently removed. If you use cloud backup, follow in-app controls or account-provider processes to revoke access or delete backups as applicable.
7. Children
Stashify is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. International users
If you access Stashify from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where you, your device, or our service providers operate.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Stashify after changes means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact
For privacy questions, you may reach the project via the Stashify GitHub repository or through channels provided in the app.
